Salt water pump

The inlet hose to the salt water foot pump had been cut when I bought
the boat. Where should it be connected, to a tee on the engine water
inlet, or way back to the head inlet? (I don't see any other inlets.)
The fresh water pump works well.

Hi:
This waterhose is connected to the sink (via a foot-pump). I' you're in salt
water- do it like me and take out the through-hull fitting and then
fiberglass
the hole. If you need (salt) water, use a bucket- it's safer!

Hi there. The through-the-hull fitting for our saltwater pump is just
forward of the sink area under the aft end of the settee/bunk. Perhaps yours
has been fibreglassed over? There is no doubt that the less holes in the
boat the less to wrong but we do find the salt/fresh water pump pretty
handy.

Our Vega has under the starboard bunk(facing the bow), by the sink, an inlet
for the salt water pump. I would slide open the aftermost door, use a
flashlight and look there.
I have also considered removing that intake and "T"ing off either the engine
or head salt water intake.
Besides I don't use it because I am afraid of the generalized pollution.
