I am looking for a salon table that attaches to the compression post(instead of its own pole) and can be raised and lowered. Not a fold down centerline. I have seen it on Beneteaus, but am not sure if it is proprietary. Any leads would be appreciated. thanks.

What type of boat and what is your layout.

What type of boat do you have and what is your layout?

I built mine hinged against

the main bulkhead. It functions as the cover for the dish cabinet when closed.

I have a CS34. No room to mount to the bulkhead, will get in the way of the L-shaped settee. Looking to end up similar to the Catalina 320 set up. Same type of table, but clamped to the post and not on a stand. Currently has a centerline foldown.

Let's see Ross' table

Ross, I like your idea of hinging against the bulkhead. Could you post some pics of your table modification?

So Roy, Does the second clamping device shown serve any different function or is it just there to double the clamping power? Also can we assume that, even if we can buy this clamping device from Hunter, the compression post would have to be removed in order to fit it? Neil

Response To Neil

Neil - Second clamp merely increases clamping power. I have not spent much time under the table so don't know answer to your question whether clamp can be mounted without removing compression post. I am leaving in the morning for a three day trip on my boat and when I return Sunday night I will be able to post an answer.

Roy, Neil,

It looks like the upper clamp is for swivel and the lower clamp is for up and down... r.w.landau

Roy, I see that now. Thanks for the other photo!

Roy, is that a table halyard in the picture :)? Is it just a counter weight? Where does it go and can it be secured in one place? r.w.landau

Line Attaches To Counterweight

The line runs to a thru-post near the top of the compression post and disappears inside where it is attached to a counterweight. One of the problems 30T owners have experienced is that the counterweight has a tendency to rattle and is a BIG annoyance when trying to sleep. I hear some owners have put the table at a desired height and after determining the location of the counterweight have drilled a screw into it to stop it from rattling. My counterweight somehow managed to become wedged tight and my wife insists I not do anything to dislodge it.
