Salon table Hunter 38

My Hunter 38 has two 9 inch legs on the salon table when used as a birth, and 24 inch legs when used as the table. In order to change the legs you have to wrestle with a 50 or 60 lb table. It really needs two people and is not an easy task.

Does anyone have a solution? I've been searching for telescoping legs, but no one has anything that will work for these dimensions. The two legs are about 2 1/4" in diameter.
I don’t necessarily have to have two legs the same -I could go with a larger more robust post but I will want to cover up the screw holes in the sole. I do not know if a telescoping post can be extended below the sole surface.

My 2007 H-36 has one telescoping leg that lowers down to make
a full bed,does that help.
I am not sure if you are saying your legs need to be removed for a bed.

I have the same challenge on my H-36 but only one leg. There is a Owner Modification on this website that makes lowering the table easier. Under "36" foot boats look at the Salon Table Modification.

who made the telescoping leg and do you have a model number?

I have the short and long legs but wanted to just have one set of legs. I saw one that is 3 piece but could not ifnd a label to do more research. thanks

I am not sure who makes the telescoping leg and it came like that from Hunter,
I have not used it a few years and forget how it works but I think I remember
that it has a turning knob to loosen and the leg slides into another piece of round aluminum leg and the table lowers down to be flat with the saloon seats
and just the extra cushion for a bed.
I think that a marine store like WM might have them for lowering a helm seat.
