One day I was driving from Galveston back to Kemah and saw a sign about "Yatchi Gras". I didn't see anything else except that it was at the boardwalk...that's where I dock. I guess that came and went and I didn't see anything...must not have been that great. That got me to thinking. Wouldn't it be cool if we had a national Sailor Gras? I'm sure Boat Babe would be there alone with lots of other hotties 
Only one requirement of this...it has to be away from land...aka...an anchorage. That way we could have people on boats with beads and people begging for them from their dinghies. I can envision boats party anchored together and dinghies all over the place. Dinghy races and barbique and beer and many stories told under a full moon. Hey, that's another requirement...a full moon (kind of like the harvest moon race). Because it's hard to travel across the country on a boat, maybe regional Gras's is a better idea. We could have one in Chesapeake bay, North Carolina, St. Augustine, New Orleans, San Diego, and Seattle. Maybe we could have them at different dates so Boat Babe could make an appearance at all Thoughts?
