Ever since the recent thread here concerning Sailnet's woes, I have periodically been checking the site to see what's up. For the past couple of weeks, there was a message notifying users that there were some unauthorized messages on their discussion boards about the activities of current or former managers. Today, I saw that legal issues have shut down the site's store and that new owners might revitalize it in the coming weeks. Sounds like bankruptcy to me. Anybody have any more insight/information? Too bad; I got a couple of great deals with excellent customer service from them a couple of years ago. I hope that not too many people will be stuck with unfilled orders....

Their first choice is to find a buyer for the whole entity. If not, it will be liquidated.

They will have a LARGE hill to climb...

After the recent way in which they - SailNet proper - have treated (or not treated) their customers, I think who ever would buy the company out right would find it difficult to bring back its customer base. The current managment seems to have cared less for its customers than they should and a lot of folks will remember that regardless of who owns/runs it. I know I will.
