I am looking for the 1990 issue of Sailing World magazine with the write-ups of the boat of the year nominees. Does anybody happen to have that issue and would you mind scanning that article for me? l am specifically looking for the write-ups of the C&C34R, Alerion Express and T-35 Tartan. I'm willing to purchase that issue if you want to part with it. Thanks.

Practical Sailor has a write up of the T37 this month. That may help. You can also look at their past reviews and see if the boats in which you are interested are covered.

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi Ted, you might have better luck posing your query with the Sailing World publisher. I'm sure they will have archived all of their issues and can retrieve the article in question.

Unless you happen to find a hoarder that has such a copy, odds are most will have recycled it long ago.

Good luck.

I have already done a search on the Sailing World site for back issues but had no luck. I'll give SW a jingle on Monday. I was hoping to locate a hoarder like myself to help me out. Saving twenty-five years worth of old publications doesn't constitute a hoarder unless of course you keep them on your boat. :D

Arghh. Please do not check out what I have on my boat. I am not a hoarder...I am not a hoarder...I am not a hoarder.

I collect stuff off the road while I do my seven mile run every other day. Most of it ends up on the boat. Brown leather gloves, maybe 30 pair. Very useful for sheet handling. Heavy duty rubber gloves, perhaps twenty pair. Protects my hands while launching and stowing the anchor. Knit hats, maybe thirty. Handy for keeping the head warm during cold weather.

Very nice hooded fleece jackets, brand name wind breakers, towels, lots of tools, cash, etc., etc., etc. The list goes on. The trouble is once you set your mind, a hoarder or some kind of instinct kicks in.

I'll be driving along and I spot an orphan glove. Okay, its mate has to be close by. There it is! Wifey says, "do you really need another pair of gloves"? Those blue or grey rubber dipped garden type gloves? I have collected easily 200 pairs over the years. Handy around the house, but 200 pair?

I am not a hoarder...I am not a hoarder...I am not a hoarder...

Terry, check under your pile of gloves and if you find a copy of the 1990 Sailing World magazine that I'm looking for, I will send you a beautiful pair of fully broken in brown leather gloves. You know, the type that only non hoarders would collect. :D

Hi Ted, as my son would tell me, "you're such a commodian". Who knows what I'll find the deeper I rummage in the bilge or lockers. I'll let you know if it floats to the surface. Meanwhile, I'm not a hoarder...
