Sailing vocabulary quiz

When's the last time these words and

phases were used by any of the sailors that took the quiz. I suspect people who used these words have been dead for centuries. If I said "Avast" to anyone on my boat they would assume I was cursing at them for doing some damn fool thing and probably stop, but they wouldn't know the meaning of the word.Fair Winds Capt H

Heads up on Chapman's

If we're going to beat these tests we have to study up. Been putting off getting one, but I noticed WM was selling off their inventory of Chapmans 63rd edition for $15 bucks now that the new one is out ($45 list).
