Looks like fun

In my windsurfing days my buddies and I would landsail by attaching a windsurfer sail to a large skateboard. When the wind on the lake fell below 15 kts. it was hard to get our sinkers up on a plain but a skateboard in a parking lot will go about 30mph in 10 kts of wind. We would also go to the local mall after closing at night in the winter to get our sailing fix :)

I'm a cyclist as well as a sailor and that

contraption seems to me to be innefficient and perhaps quite dangerous in traffic.

I would think...

....tacking up the street into the wind could get dangerous. How do you explain to a 5000 lb Buick that you are on a starboard tack? Roger, the iceflyer is an iceboat that uses a wind surfing rig. They just took the blades off and replaced them with wheels. I could do this with my DN but there's no place big enough to landsail around here.

There is here!!!

If i have time this summer the conversion to wheels on my DN looks easy? Any problems with additional flex or vibration to deal with? I don't want to wreck my DN!!! Then what would I do this winter. Well more time for Luge that way but not looking to crack my winter speedster. Pray for Wind, Lugeman

I get my summer sailing fix aboard my boat. I have no need for landsailing in the summer. I'll save my DN for my winter sailing fix.
