Would appreciate comments about submerged debris, irate property owners and their actions such as placing no anchoring signs in front of their homes and shooting at boaters, "boat bums", and overcrowded anchorages, particularly on the St. Johns River in Florida. Thanks

It's ok

The debris will be anywhere you go in the world. There is not much in the river. I have never seen a private no anchoring sign anywhere on the river. It is still a pretty free place to go. No hassles so far. Come on down and stop by to see me at the Green Cove Springs Marina, I live and work there. Tell em Cap'n Dave sent you. Well you better not you might get shot Fair Winds Cap'n Cap'n

Good and funny reply.... As to the debris, yes all over the world, but greater density after hurricanes in Florida or Gulf states..... Appreciate the update on the current river status and hearing about it being hassle free ....seems I saw something in one of the sailing publications dealing with this thread theme.... In person reports from other sailors have not been as favorable as yours Dave, but they are a bit old now..... Anyhow, if we get down your way we will dodge the bullets together, you cover my back and I will cover yours.....LOL....my wife can pass the ammo..... Frank
