Headin South in 4 years my own self

I've got the same Idea as you, only I've got to wait 4 more years then go. Money situation should be right by then, I'll put in in Biloxi and head south from there...Tim Welsh H34 AKA Cabo Wabo

While you're at it...

...consider continuing on to the the Pacific Coast of Mexico for a winter. Beautiful anchorages. Nice people. A friendly cruising community. Reasonable prices (most places). Great weather from November to April, and not bad after that. I highly recommend Zihuatanejo and Tenacatita Bay as two of my favorites. If you prefer marinas, Nuevo Vallarta and Mazatlan have lots to offer. Check Latitude38.com for an idea... Fair winds...

Good Choice

I left in late '99. SV Patience is in Borneo now, waiting for weather to continue west. Did the usual coconut milk run, then Ozz, up thu the spice islands to borneo. No regrets. I'm half way; be back sometime in '06. Glad you jumped off the 'wheel' and wish you luck. wally SV Patience h37c

Go with these guys.

Tuesday I escorted two dockmates, heading your way. The picture is Mike, a 29 foot Endeavor I think. Accompanying him is a Morgan Out Island, I think a 33. They left Huron, Ohio, headed for the North Channel. They have a lazy schedule, only plan is to be in Annapolis for the sailboat show in October. I'll send you Mike's e-mail address as soon as I get the first note from him.

Enjoy the kid, you will have a lot more from life than beating around in a boat!
