My marina will open on April 1, and I would normally launch Tally Ho the day the marina opened (assuming the ice was out of the marina by then).

Now I am in Florida for the winter, so Tally Ho won’t get launched until sometime in May when I get back north

We don’t take the boats out of the water for the winter here, just every couple of years for bottom paint and zincs. I was down working on the boat this morning, new chart plotter and radar, new main sail next month then off for the summer in June.

Coyotes bout the only wild critters in our precincts. Don't care much for grass, just rabbits, cats and dogs.

Merit 22- Oregon lakes
Here in SW Oregon the snowpack is 150% of normal right now. our main sailing lake is already 15-20% higher (70%) than at any time last year, when we only got a couple months of sailing there, which was the first sailable levels in the previous 5 years so ya......... we're looking forward to a full season of sailing on a full Howard Prairie lake when it opens mid April. YAY!

Hey Russ. 150% wow... Give a SHOUT out to the La Niña currents of last summer. They helped produce the weather that brought us the snow.
