Sailing opportunities in Ambergris Caye, Belize

I haven't posted since the new site has been up. I've forgotten how!

Wondering if anyone has chartered for a bareboat day sail in Belize. We are staying on Ambergris Caye and have arranged for a day sail with three snorkeling stops but it is captained. Probably a good thing because we are lake sailors and have no experience (yet!) with tides, currents, etc. Would love to hear of your experiences in that area.

Friends of mine went down there last year I think it was. There were sharks in their snorkeling pics I hate sharks!
