Muscle Needed!
Sailing now 36%; cycling 42%. We just voted again; different computer. We need some big-time muscle on this one. Anyone know how to get Ted Turner or Larry Ellison in on this? Aside from that, everyone keep voting! We have heard that OLN will be doing a lot of hours on the upcoming America's Cup series. Carl and Jule s/v 'Syzygy'

well, that show's how many people watch OLN. I hope they bring back the Grand Prix Racing...Aussie 18 Foot Skiffs....Awesome! I like the fly fishing shows. But I'm tired of the Andy Mill fashion fishing hour. Also hope they limet the bubbals in bass boats to TNN.

What happened to "Ship Shape"
About 3 months ago, I discovered the "Ship Shape" program on our Outdoors channel. I can't find it anymore, so I assume it was dropped. It showed how to do several repairs on motor boats, but much of it (specially fiberglass, wood, and electronic repairs) was very relative to sailing as well. If it's gone for good, I'm really going to miss it. Jim Cook "Dream Chaser" O 27

ShipShape TV
I used to look forward to watching the marine shows on SpeedVision on Wednesday nights. ShipShapeTV is no longer listed on SpeedVision. A visit to www.shipshapetv.com shows that they are now on PBS and some network called the "Sunshine Network" . . . never heard of it. We have DirecTV at home and I remember seeing ShipShapeTV just last week on some sports channel in the 600s. I think it might have been on one of the NE regional sports networks (FoxSports NE, maybe?).

Thank you everybody, because it looks like sailing on television may be the only sailing I do this year! The marina installing our new Honda 9.9 and painting the bottom on our H26 has had our boat for five weeks. They told us today when we called for an update (again) that they refuse to give us a date when they'll do the work and if we don't like it, we can come pick up our boat. Now THERE is great customer service for you. I guess we're small fry.

Susan, get the boat and DIY
Don't be held hostage by the marina or shop. Unless they forbid you to do the work yourself, paint the bottom and mount the motor yourself. If you're a little insecure about it, there are tons of sailors where you are who would be glad to coach you through it. Just ask. Get that boat in the water!!! Tom

What Marina?
Susan, I'm sure we would all like to know which marina this is. I will log it into my laptop under MD marinas. Service likes this needs to be dealt with with lots of word of mouth. This site is a great place for us to help each other avoid nightmares. Thanks
