Sailing on, in spite of losing the captain

Here is my blog and video about the first season of sailing after my husband died. It's a steep learning curve, succes and failure, determination and frustration, happiness and loneliness. I just felt it had to be shared with others, as all in all it has been a great consolation and the best therapy you can get. I will be back on the boat in May and continue sailing, painting and blogging.

My condolences to u and your family! I can relate in some capacity to your loss. I lost my wife just over ten years ago to cancer. We sailed often the east coast of south Africa along the Durban coast. For me I found joy and peace in the freedom of the ocean after her passing. In some way there is a peace to be found ridding the waves and the wind in ur face of the great blue. God bless u and ur family. Stay strong and embrace being your own captain in his memory.
