I'm taking a trip to Isla Mujeres near Cancun Mexico. Not having any luck on the web finding sail boats to rent. I'm looking for a sloop (24 to 27 feet)I can rent by the day. Any tips on boat rental in mexico would be appreciated.

Things in Mexico are not always easy to find
Michael, I tried google.com with "sailing Isla Mujeres" and came back with several good hits. The best one involved a travel site (igougo)where actual travelers post their stories. One related that an American cruiser was supplementing his travels in Mexico by "charterting" his boat to tourists. If you have lots of time, Belize is VERY close. An air conditioned bus from Cancun to Belize City was less than 12 bucks a year ago. Ol' Dave

I wonder if they have by day slip rentals in or around Cancun and the rate$ and if it was safer (for boat and valuables) to dock or dingy in. Maybe I could rent a guard dog while I was there
