What about Dead Calm
I also liked the movie Wind - If you look carefully I think you will recognize the boats. Master and commander had great sailing scenes but I was dissapointed with the character development - I never really bought into the relationship between the main charaters. The discussionof nelson touched every Englishmans heart - I have been through HMS Victory, his flagship, proably more athn 10 times - If you ever visit the south of England stop by Portsmouth and take the tour - the serving sailors who walk you through do a super job and make the whole thing come alive. Anyway no one has mentioed "Dead Calm" an 1989 movie staring a young Nicole Kidman. The sailing scenes on the open seas where great and the boats where fabulous. Finally what about "Message in a Bottle" beautiful images of wodden boats under sail.
