Anybody have any experience sailing lake Nipigon located just north of Lake Superior. Near as I can tell the majority of the lake is uncharted except for topo maps and only about 1% of the surface area has actual soundings. Plan on spending a week on it with an H240 and am starting to get a little concerned about the lack of nautical data. One map available from a local fishing store shows some of the shoals etc however it is devoid of any depth information. if anyone had any nav tracks or good anchorages to share it would be appreciated otherwise I guess I will sail slower than normal and hope to not hit anything to hard.
