Last Sunday in Okinawa,Japan the weather (December) was outstanding. This time of year you can still sail in shorts and tee shirt. Actually we sail all year here in between dodging typhoons June-November. In the attached photo, I am sailing "Tainui" towards the reef line at the end of the Kadena Air Force Base runway. You will see a C141 tactical aircraft getting ready to take to who knows where. Many service members are deployed from here to Iraq, Afghanistan, the Phillipines and just recently to Bangladesh, to provide humanitarian assisatance as a result of the recent cyclone (hurricane) that ripped through their county. Merry Christmas to you all from an American sailor living and working to support our countries interests in the Pacific.

Merry Christmas to you and Thanks!

Happy to see you enjoying sailing in that part of the world. Temperatures sound great. How about the water temperatures? Thank you for serving for all of us back home. You may have one of the better locales to work in but your support of the troups in harm's way is most important.
