Thank you all - it was a nice trip.

We had a wonderful trip. We anchored at Watch Hill Thursday night. Behind Napatree point many boats in the anchorage DO NOT use anchor lights, but that's a topic for a different discussion. Visibility was fine on the way over. We arrived at Block on Friday afternoon and grabbed a mooring. Race week festivities were still going on. Saturday it cleared up completely and we expected that the fog issue was behind us but Sunday when we woke - pea soup! I asked a few sailors what they thought and they pretty much all say the same thing "you better stay". Several stated that "if it's bad in here it'll be worse out there". The fog lifted to the point were we could see the entire harbor and surrounding hillside. We saw other boats with no radar and no reflectors leaving so we followed them out. Outside it was very clear and sunny all the way until we reached Watch Hill passage. Then it turned pea soup again. The fog built in very rapidly. All the little fishing boats were racing in like a tornado was coming or something. We made it in OK. All in all a great weekend even if it was too short.
Thanks so much for your responses. Just about everything I know about sailing I learned from you all on this board and I appreciate that immensely.
