A few weeks back I elected to have the marina launch my boat only to find out there was water in the hull and they refused to leave it in a slip. Cost me $75.00 for that. Thanking the marina, I resealed the thru-hulls and upgraded the original motor mount. Needless to say, I was afraid every weekend that I'd find a partially submerged boat! Fortunately, my fear was never confirmed. After my first sail, there was still a little water in the hull but nothing new. Now, after sailing three weeks in a row and the boat moored in a slip, the hull is dry as a bone! The moral of this story is simple: If you clean your interior and foolishly have someone else launch it, make sure the boat's dry. Of course, being old and naive is always a good excuse for dumb decisions...hehehe. Just a little "dry" humor...
