Interested to know if anyone belongs to a club in the Chesapeake Bay/Annapolis area, that has a good share of kids on scheduled cruises. If so, name of club and recs please. We already belong to a club in Annapolis and while we enjoy many of its activities, racing is its sailing focus, cruising with kids is not. We're staying with that club but we also want to do more in the way of club cruising with our young one and have opportunities for her to hang out with other kids around boats on the weekends etc. Thanks for any info.

Brian How old are your kids?

We also would like to meet cruising families that enjoy family time. Our Children,,daughter 9 and Son 7 love the boat...our daughter is perfectly happy reading her book as we dip our rail but our son loves the whole experience and fishing and dingy trips..but over all they both enjoy meeting new people...especially if they have kids. let me know if you find a club....you can email me direct if you like. rob.maas@bermstudios.com. thanks Rob

Kids on the northern Bay.

We too are interested in meeting other upper bay boaters seeking the family experience. Our boys, ages 6 and 11, love the boat, the dink, swimming and fishing, etc. For the Hunter sailors: We joined The Northern Star Hunter Sailing Association and were greeted with open arms. Several members have children and the boys were always made to feel welcome by the "older" kids. One of their favorite memories is of a water-ballon/pistol/bucket/.. fight last labor day. The young ones (aged 6 to 18) started by attacking their parents and the young-at-heart; two hours later no-one was dry and everyone sported an ear-to-ear grin. Please feel free to contact us directly, we would love to meet other boating families whether you join NSHSA or not. Paul padozary@comcast.net

Sea scouts later

The Seascouts would be a good opportunity when they are a little older.
