Can do...
Chris:I checked Eldridge's, and it says its 47 miles from the east end of the CC Canal to Marblehead. Although you didn't say where you're starting out from (mid-Cape, perhaps?), I don't suppose it's a whole lot farther. My longest single-day run (in a 272LE) was about 55 miles, just over half of that in ocean waters (Jersey Shore). It took about 11-12 hours, done with a crew of two. Yeah, we were pretty tired and beat up by the end, but I'd say your trip is doable. Best suggestion (perhaps overstating the obvious): get a good grip on tides and currents, and wind and weather, for the day(s) you plan to travel, and have some kind of backup option (a place to put in) if reaching Marblehead in one shot can't happen (like, the weather picks up unexpectedly). The 240 is a good boat, and there's no reason you can't make the trip in her. Safe traveling, mate...Pete
