I did finish the kit and it is a pretty decent kayak. It appears to be a little bit tender but you get used to that. It goes very easily through the water but this one tracks like it's on a rail and you have to work at turning. For that reason I think it would sail pretty well if you could keep it upright. Keeping it upright is also the reason I have not put a sail on it yet. In my mind a small downwind only sail would be the way to go.
