Sailbrite Teak Oil Sealer - second coat?

I’m trying to apply this for the best protection and am confused regarding how to do so. Regarding a second coat, on Sail Brite’s website it states to let it sit for 4 to 6 hours and then apply another coat for additional protection. On the can itself it says nothing of the sort. It just says to apply a second coat after finishing the first coat. So which is it? I’m applying this to my Boat pulpit seats and want as much protection as possible.

Thank you,

Love it when instructions are clear as mud.

When I've used oil finishes other than this product, it is necessary to give the oil time to soak in, wipe the excess and then repeat. The time is variable based on the oil, wood, and temperature.

Considering the website, I read the label as: When you apply a coat, it takes 4-6 hours to dry. But, you can apply a second coat, whenever. The instructions could have been made consistent with the website by either reversing the order of #3 and #4 or by simply making #4 an unnumbered note.

The instructions didn’t mention wiping, so I’m assuming that’s a step for oil and not for this sealer. I applied two coats back to back, per the instructions on the can. I’ll see how it looks tomorrow.
