Anyone know where to find a good sailboat supply store in southern California? The bigger stores have switched to powerboat stuff. Thanks!

Well West Marine is always a good source, but if you are into internet, then Blue water yachts, and a few in northern cal. Cabela's is a pretty good source. But they are catalog sales and Internet. BTW... What are you looking for? Maybe that will help in your search.

Carl, Like Gregg said, the internet is the place (plus, no traffic.) Here are a few sites that I've used to buy stuff for my boat: iboats.com, marinewholesales.com, boatersworld.com, vetus.com and don't rule out RV stores (depending on what you're looking for) rvpartsoutlet.com Good Luck.

Try Minney's
I go by Minney's Used Yacht Supplies in Newport Beach, 55 & 15th. They have practically anything you would ever want, and a lot cheaper than West Marine. It's fun just to look around. I have bought sails, motors, lots of SS parts, chemicals, radios, lines and all sorts of other things. Plus, Ernie is fun to talk to, when he is there. They have a website too. Search Minney's

Sailnet is pretty good. sailnet.com Also marine.com is good. They have an autohelm 1000 for less than 400. with remote. Thats a good deal.

Well, I am not employed by them, but I sure do spend alot of time and money with them, like someone said before, www.westmarine.com if you call 1-800-boating you can get a free cataloge that will almost tip your coffee table over its so big, do your research, and find good prices where you can, and I have even bought boat stuff at REI, or any other good outdoor store, some things are generic like that. Good luck, and if you are looking for anything perticular, just let us all know, we might find it for you. Dave
