Forgive me for bringing up a previously discussed subject, but I am debating buying a winter cover for my Beneteau 331. I am speaking to the folks that run this forum (very helpful by the way) and they have a cover made of Top Gun fabric. Comparing shrink wrap and Top Gun, is one more likley to let mold and mildew in? It sounds like the Top Gun cover is a better investment in the long run, but I was wondering if one is significantly more weather resistant than the other. Are there any other tips and tricks that might keep out the mold while it is in storage? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't know about shrink wrap, but top gun is similar to sunbrella except that it is more waterproof. It is is guaranteed 5 years. I had a cover once that had plastic clam shell vents sewed in and pointed down. I never had a mold problem and I never noticed any water being blown in.
