Can you imagine how happy Dakin was to come in 2nd - he almost came in 1st!! I love these messages and some are so descriptive I can almost picture myself in the boat as they sail the race. Some people might think I make up this stuff but I don't and I have a number of testimonials to support my guarantee that if you are a middle to back of the pack racer (or just a cruiser that wants to sail the pants off his cruising buddy - anytime there are two cruising boats sailing along together, your racing whether you know it or not) and just follow some of the techniques I outline and try my sail trim proceedures and you will certainly move up 2 to 3 positions. You may not come in 1st (or maybe you will) but the leader will definately know you are there. Here's Dakin's message: Don, We recently purchased your sail trim products, just wanted to let you see the results. The biggest difference was our mainsail trim. We pretty much used to "set it and forget it", but using your guide it was adjusted correctly and moved us up a couple places from normal. The course was one lap windward-leeward, followed by a triangle lap windward-reach-reach to the finish. The reaches used to be our weak point, but by having the mainsail adjusted correctly (wife was worn out after the race)we were able to catch the ericson 38 and get enough time ahead of the 27. Also we've never beaten the hunter 31 (that was worth the purchase alone). Anyway, just wanted to let you know that it really helped. Thanks.
