My husband and I are looking to get some experience sailing on a larger boat (45-50) before seriously considering purchasing. Our only sail time is on a 34'. We live in ct and would be interested in a day or half day opportunity at a reasonable (or free) price some where on Long Island sound. Be open to different options. Any ideas out there?

Yes, charter a number of boats, each with different features and layouts so that you experience the boat rather than rely on the sales and marketing hype. Like, what is like to bring a 50 ft. boat to the dock with a short handed crew, and 20 knots of wind.
