What is the most compact way to store a 150 Mylar Genoa? Could one roll it up, then kind of roll the roll so that it fits on the V berth? or elsewhere. Or does it have to go along the port settee? Also, how important is it to fold up the 110 jib? I thought you aren't supposed to fold sails the same way so that the same creases don't cause weak lines. Would gently wadding it into the sail bag be just as good?

Sail Storage

My sail maker/repairer always folds the sail like an accordian down toward the foot, and, when it is long and skinny, rolls it up and puts it in the sail bag. Therefore, when I had a C25, I bagged them as above, then took them home and hung them in the garage for the winter.

Fold it

just don't fold it on the same crease everytime. Don't wad it up.... then you'll have a million little creases. If you fold the sail properly it will have a longer life besides being easier to rig. Nylon is okay to stuff in the bag, but not dacron or laminates.
