i lost my sail stop yesterday, only to find it later on the forward deck, how it didn't bounce overboard is amazing! prior to finding the original, i tried to install one that i had from previous boat, and found it too large in diameter. it is 0.500 dia. from west marine. they don't list a smaller one. where does one find the correct size sail stop. thanks doug

Heavy duty sail stops

Doug, I got my replacement at a West Marine store, it fits perfect and hasn't failed me yet. It even has an eye to thread a tether through it. Davis Track Stops on page 1067 in this years West Marine catalogue looks similar, but I don't see the eyelet. It appears to be a Davis #2351 or #2352 depending on whether the track size is 3/8" or 3/4". Mine's down at the marina and I can't remember the track size. Unless somebody offers something for free from Hunter I won't worry about manufacturer. I've come across some of my best parts cruising the throw back bins in Hampton Roads boating stores. 216 Sail Stop

Doug! Had the same problem with the West Marine round sail stop. Wouldn't fit. Hunter dealer had one that's supposed to fit, it's the Davis #2351 flat (small). Haven't tried it yet but it's apparently like the one that Kris has. Good Luck
