Need to find a small plastic sail slug guide. It is on the mast and stops the sail slugs from exiting the gap on the mast. Mine is broken. 28 Hunter 1989. Does anyone out there know who made the mast for this model?
but I have a 1993 28 and my mast was ZPAR made.It has the slide cover that has 2 screws,1 top and 1 bottom on the plate that holds it to the mast and allows you to remove the slugs. So,if it sounds the same it is most likely ZPAR.
Sail slugs generally come in two sizes. Check the West Marine catalog or your ships store. More important, change them (and the hooks) to steel-renforced types to last longer -- much longer.
