Have 260 mainly used on lakes , winds up to 27 Ks , some times only 5 to 10 only . During low winds we miss a little more Jib . We have a Gennaker , but it take time and people to put it to work and if you are alone ..... Can we install a bigger Jib sail than the 100% it came with the sail ? , what maximum size ? , is there something against it ? . Thanks Enzo

Sock for your gennaker?

The gennaker should be a good light air sail. If you don't have one, I suggest you get a "sock" for it. This allows you to rig the sail before you leave the dock with the sock down. Then when light air strikes, all you have to do is raise the sock to deploy the sail. (After furling the jib, of course.) I have been able to do this single handed in light air by going forward with the tiller lashed to hold a down wind course, raising the sock, and then returning to the cockpit to tune the spinnaker. The link below describes setting a gennaker in more detail. David Lady Lillie
