Sail Shape H336

I have a H336. I am able to flatten the full main and with single reef relatively easily. However, with second reef, the sail has a big belly and I can't seem to flatten it. I have single reefing line system. Have others noticed the same?

I had the same problem

I had the same problem, because the mai was old and strached to the max. A new sail solved the problem. How old is your maim? By the way, I had the problem years ago, I did not release the topping lift.

Mickey, My main sail is 9 years old. I do loosen the topping lift while I am sailing.

Same problem I have

I beleive you have the same problem I have. My 336 mainsail is 9 years old and a that age they get stretched out pretty badly. I just started shopping for a new main. The Ft Lauderdale boat show is the end of this month, and I had met someone there last year that did sail reconditioning. I am going to ask them if it is worth trying to recut and save.
