I am just outside of Toronto, Canada. The sun protection strip on my head sail is coming apart. Can anyone recommend a place for repair?

Friends and boat yard recommendations

I'd suggest that you get recommendations from your sailing friends and/or the boat yard where you store in the winter or keep your boat in the summer. If you were in the Detroit area I'd say that Kent Sail is a good choice but I doubt if you want to drive a couple of hours to get a sail repaired. Good Luck, Mike

Sail Repairs

I have used Sobstade in Barrie to both make and repair sails with good results. If this is too far try Performance Sails. They are at 80 Barbados Blvd Unit 23 in Scarborough (near Eglinton and McCowan), and the loft number's 416-266-0429. They do all manner of sail repairs. One of their staff (Tal Wolf)is a member of our club and although I have not used them believe that they will be OK. Charlie
