I got my main sail back from "Sail Care" yesterday. Wow, what a change. My boat spent most if not all of her time on a medium sized lake and I suspect didn't sail all that much (no compass, no genoa, no reef hooks, no anchor light and 3- 110v outlets in the cabin)- a fair amount of motoring and partying at the dock and on the hook I think. Anyhow the main was in pretty good shape but was dirtied up being furled all the time- lots of spider poop and a few wasp nests, dust and mildew, etc. It looked bad.
Now she looks as new as a 25 year sail can look. Clean with a new insignia, a second set of reef points and a flattening reef and they fixed and cleaned the sail bag to boot. Took about less then three weeks and just over $400. Super
