It depends
It depends on the furler. Does your furler use the boat's regular jib halyard to hold up the head or does it have it's own internal halyard?If it has an internal halyard (like mine), then you simply unroll the sail, uncleat and unwind the halyard at the bottom of the furler, attach some extra line to the end, and ease the sail down -- the sail's luff tape will slide down the furler's extrusion groove and out a hole near the bottom.If it uses the boat's halyard -- then I'm not the best person to ask.
