Marc, I have a good friend in Ft. Lauderdale who professionally captains a couple of gin palaces (big power yachts) and often makes the passage. I can see if he or anyone else he knows might need a deck hand and pass on your details. It wouldn't be sailing, but you'd get a lot of good 1st-hand info on the passage itself.
