My boat is 5 years old. I have put a little over 7,000 miles under the keel and about 500 hours on the engine. My guess is that (due to a lot of running engine and going nowhere to charge batteries) I have averaged about 3 knots per hour of engine time. That would be about 1500 miles... a little less than 25%.
