I have an interesting situation - we're planning on entering Grasshopper II (1994 H-26) in a local race this weekend on Lake Carlyle. The race committee requires sail numbers. On our previous boat (a Catalina 22) no problem - the Hull number (9309) was clearly displayed on the main sail ... but not so with our Hunter - all we have is a "H - 26" on the sail. My question is - what do you recommend for a temporary sail number? Duct Tape (my wife hopes not!)? Stick on numbers? Numbers pinned on? Has anyone else had this 'problem'? *o Thanks all. Tom Grass p.s. Thanks to the advice of this forum - I was able to find and seal the leak in my under table centerboard access area - my bilge and my galley sink are DRY! *5 Thanks to everyone.

Sail Repair Tape

Pick up some dark colored sail repair tape and become 1 or 11 or 111 or 1111. For local club races, as long as the number is unique to the club, and you are first, it should work fine. Just a question...is #26 taken already? Steve
