I am DEFINITELY going to be there

I think there will be a contingent of Catalina's owners going down also with LISCA (Long Island Sound Catalina Assoc.). It should be an amazing site, they are trying to get the largest ever contingent of sailboats there. I am more than proud to be part of it.....the other great thing is "EVERYONE IS INVITED"...daysailors, sailboarders, anyone...... I encourage everyone who can make it to go.

Any concerns re: an extremely crowded harbor?????

I sail the NY-Harbor regularly as it's my home port, and I know how crowded it becomes on the weekends, especially given the party boats, barges, cruise ships (4 of them), freighters and ferries -- it becomes "dodge" city. With this event being referred to as the bigget sailing gathering/event EVER, is anyone the least bit concerned over how crowded it will be on that given weekend. I can definately see the potential for collisions and/or extremely stressful situations. Maybe I'm just being over cautious... Rgds, -Chuck
