Just launched my 30 today and can't find my sail cover. I took it home to launder it last fall and misplaced it. Looked everywhere twice. I think I need to buy a new one.

Does anyone know of a source that stocks them? Idon't want to wait for a custom one. Can they be procured from Catalina?

The C30 evolved through quite a number of designs so I doubt you'll find an off-the-shelf cover. If you don't have a flaking system we can probably turn one around for you in a week, although you'll need to call us Monday to check on that.

We need a few confirming measurements to make sure our pattern will fit your boat so you'd need access to it next week.

Details here:

Give us a call Monday (9am-5pm Pacific time): 877-932-7245

Thanks Phil, I'm off to Nantucket for a week leaving next Saturday. Could I damage my main sail without a cover for a week?

I think I may have donated my cover to goodwill by accident:eek:

NO, you won't.

Please consider that people sail around with their mainsails up when they cross oceans, and that usually takes a tad longer than a week...:)

Think of reasons to not delay your trip, like:

-- it'll be easier to find our boat because we will be the only ones without a sail cover

-- it'll be easier at night to find our boat, the sail is white

-- hmm, now I'll have to get better looking sail ties

Enjoy your cruise, Bob.

Got my cover a few years ago from Catalina Direct. I have the Dutchman flaking but chose not to have it slitted, just loosen the filaments so they go under the cover. The old cover was slit, it was just a pain to put on while returning to dock, not to mention two more zippers to go bad.
