Hi
I want to add to my sail inventory for racing or cruising on light air days. I'm looking at the used sail market, but am unsure about cloth weights for light air. My current 150% genny is 6.8 oz. Dacron.
The conditions I'm trying to cover with this additional sail would be winds 5 knots and below. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks,

Bob

Cruising spinnakers are 1.0 to 1.5 oz. Ours works down to 2 knots apparent. For racing in light airs you will need to check the rules for what is and is not allowed. For cruising below 10 knots I'd go with a drifter (170% jib) mad of 1.5 oz ripstop nylon.

Oooops! I should have mentioned that I race in a jib and main class. The sail I will be buying will be a light air genoa. But how "light" is the question. 3 oz., 4 oz. cloth?
