sail battens

I just bought a brand new sail that didn't come with battens. I have been trying to find a six foot tapered batten. The big chain marine stores dont carry them and I couldn't get them online through the manufactures. Any ideas? If not pre-manufactured; than any ideas on putting two battens in one pocket? How about other common materials such as balsa wood. Any help is appreciated.

Try a sail loft

Why don't you try a local sail loft, or better yet, the sail loft that sold you the new sail? It seems that they should be able to either supply the batten or tell you where to go.

It seems to me that the loft that made

your sail should provide you with the battens for it. Call them.
