why not

get roller furling? Lots of people use the hanked on bags to get more room in the cabin. I used to keep my jib on the v-berth and it took up a lot of room.

When I had my Catalina 22

I used to leave the 155 genny hanked on to the forestay, flake it down as small as possible and slip the bag over it and tie it down. Worked OK, but you have to be diligent in keeping the sun off the sail. Like others said, a 110 and a 155 takes up a lot of room below.

I think they're great. Bought mine on this site. Quality is excellent.

I have one too

It is great, I don't understand the concern about the sun. The bag covers the jib completely.

Good Solution

The first year we owned our 240 we used a jib bag and found it an excellent way to protect the sail, maintain some convenience, and avoid taking the sail below. I concur with an earlier comment though. Especially for a small boat, upgrading to something like a CDI furler would be a great and not-all-that-expensive upgrade. It's a way to shorten the sail a bit when needed too. Good luck.
