While under sail, my rudder became fouled in a line. I have wheel steerage. Not knowing the rudder was fouled, I hauled on the wheel too hard and felt the wheel disengage. I don't know how to take the cable out and have no instruction on it. I'm not sure that the cable snapped, or merely came loose. I have a Safe-T QC steering system. I believe the cable is 12 ft long. Anyone know how to disassemble this system to inspect/replace the cable? There's a pin (2724514P)that has a card on it with instructions to pull it out and place it in a hole before extracting the cable. Problem is -- I can't find the hole it's referring to. The cable has a nut connector at the helm, which is easy to unscrew, but the cable doesn't slide out. Is it attached to something there that I need to also loosen?
