Try PeelAway or PeelAway II from Dummond Chemicals in NYC. The Boat US price is $250 for 5 gallons. You can get the same thing from Sherwin Williams for less than $110: you choose. Good luck. We seriously considered going that route, but opted for sandblasting instead. In Tidewater, Va, price would be $600 at Sherwin Williams, plus half as much again for equipment/clothes, etc. That stuff will eat thru anything, including you. But it works and is ecologically safe. But for another half as much, we decided to have our 1986 Hunter 31 sandblasted (at $20 a foot..ouch!). We will do the grunt work of painting: something we can handle without danger of hurting ourselves really badly. ALURE must have at least 8 double coats of paint, each weighing 50-80 pounds. That is a lot of crud to scrape. Whichever way you go, post your results. Have a great sailing season on your squeaky-clean bottom. Joe
