Who has what experience replacing the cabin window(s) on an S25? I've recently found a crack in the port cabin window, all the way through top to bottom and outside to inside, about 1/16" wide empty air. Any sources? I have a bad feeling these are in essence custom jobs, or, to put it differently, the port window is not just a mirror image of the starboard and could not be manufactured from blueprints. I don't figure I can keep taping this forever. Thanks in advance for everyone's help. Doug, on my 78 S25, I had two replacement windows cut, predrilled, and the edges beveled by a small, local Baltimore area, plastic manufacturer (now out of business) using the remains of the existing windows as templates. He provided a choice of tints and I went with a smoke very similar to the originals. They were mirror images. I reattached them using 4200 and the original SS screws after overdrilling the existing holes, filling with epoxy, and redrilling to size. Be careful not to overtighten as they are not load bearing windows. The cost was around $145 for both. That was two years ago and no leaks. Sorry; no help on the blueprints. :-/ Curtis Makin' Luff

Doug: we had the same problem with our 299 and came to the same action plan which I did this winter with the boat on the hard. Pryed off the 2 pieces with a putty knife and took them to a plastics shop as a template. got back a predrilled beveled new window and reglued with silicone using the same screws. Matched the color as best as possible. On the boat it looks fine and is very close in color to the other windows. But it now is so clean and clear, that we may do the same with the other windows to dress them all up. the old glass fades, clouds and gets crazing cracks which restrict vision out of the boat.
