S2 HIN interpretation

I've recently purchased an 11.0C.

We have been wondering if the Hull Number can be deciphered from the HIN as on most other boats.


SSU370?1C585 The question mark looks almost like a 6 - more like a 0 with a line thru it.

SSU = S2

C585 = Oct. 1985

I'm not sure how to decipher the other.

Guessing - model type is 37 - hull number 61 assuming it's a 6?

Could you provide the whole number? My hull is 333, so I should think yours should be at least three digits, but I may be wrong.

Sure,
Here's teh full HIN #: We think the question mark might be a 6. It looks more like a 0 with a slash through it but that wouldn't really make sense given there is a very clear 0 without a slash just to the left of it. I'll post a picture of it later this weekend.

Sometimes a O could be an O, zero, oh! Maybe the slash mark is to differentiate between a number and a letter.

SSU30333M81A is mine. My hull is 333. My boat is 30 feet long, was made in 81 and the A is for aft cockpit. They only made 66 11.0C's so it can't be a higher than that. Since they stopped manufacture in 86 it could be hull 61. What is on your title?

We figured it out. Thanks everyone for the info. it is hull number 61. What looks like a 0 with a line through it is a misfigured 6. We found a few items onboard that had the 37-061 marking on it; It would be far to coincidental for it not to be a 61 after finding those items.
