S2 9.2C Rudder Shaft Dimensions

I need to replace my rudder and rudder shaft on my 1986 S2 9.2C. The company I found to manufacture it (Foss Foam Products of Florida, Inc.
www.newrudders.com) says they have had a few different shaft specs. Does anyone know this to be true? I don't have the option to measure the shaft on my boat.

you will find that the 9.2A shaft is longer than the 9.2C as far as how much i have no idea

it would be best for you to remove your old rudder and send it to them so they can match it up exactly and also the may be able to salvage your old shaft thus saving you a little money on the total job
