I have an early 80's first 28' and am in a quandry as to my cast iron keel and how to seal/protect it.Current suggestions range from various paint products to encapsuling it in fiberglass after sandblasting, acid bathing etc.It has been admitted by some barrier coat paint manufacturers that it is a temporary fix at best. Also my headliner has fallen away from decomposing foam attached to the inside of the vinyl.Any suggestions?

rust woes on the go

In the auto body industry we use a product called” Rust mort". This is just one of a group of rust converting products available at auto body supply shops. I seems to work for us in our restoration cars. Blast, dry with "Gun wash", prime with a two part primer and paint with a sealing epoxy. Good luck Lyall
